Seafood Menu
Description
Summer in Sardinia is an invitation to slow down, enjoy the sea breeze, and bring the scents of the Mediterranean to the table. This summer menu is designed for those who love the freshness and lightness of seafood, featuring a selection of dishes perfect for a seaside lunch or an elegant sunset dinner. From Sardinian seafood appetizers to flavorful pasta and traditional coastal mains, each recipe tells an authentic story of the island.
This Sardinian menu, rich in the flavors of the sea and freedom, celebrates the best moments of summer with simple, genuine ingredients.
We begin with a fresh and flavorful starter: octopus salad, dressed with good olive oil and parsley, perfect served cold, paired with warm and tasty mussels impepata and simple boiled murici (sea snails).
Among the first courses, we couldn’t resist choosing spaghetti with sea urchins — a true classic among seafood pasta dishes, perfect for a special occasion. For guests who don’t enjoy the sweet flavor of sea urchins, you can opt for malloreddus with bottarga — an elegant dish that blends tradition with a distinctive taste of the sea.
As for the main courses, you can never go wrong with baked sea bream: delicate, aromatic, and oven-cooked — in our version, it becomes something special with a flavorful gratin made from sun-dried tomatoes and herbs. If you’re looking for a more intense flavor, try grilled eels — one of the most deeply rooted recipes in coastal tradition — best served with a hearty side of eggplant a scabecciu (sweet-and-sour style).
To end on a sweet note, try one of Sardinia’s most beloved traditional desserts: gueffus — small almond and sugar bites, perfect to enjoy with a sip of creamy, fragrant myrtle cream.
