Boiled Murici (Sea Snails)
Description
Murici, also known as sea snails or whelks, are shellfish commonly used in Sardinian seafood recipes, especially in the Cagliari area and throughout the southern part of the island.
Their unique and distinctive appearance makes them visually striking, while their rich, intense flavor and easy preparation make them the ideal ingredient for an elegant seafood starter.
In this recipe, we suggest enjoying them in a simple way to fully appreciate their characteristic taste. However, you can customize the dish to your liking by adding other ingredients — for instance, a light tomato sauce for extra flavor.
