- Octopus 1000 g
- Celery 200 g
- Parsley 40 g
- Lemon 50 g
- Extra virgin olive oil 40 ml
- Salt 16 g
- Pepper 6 g
Instructions
- 1 To prepare octopus salad, start by cleaning the octopus: remove the eyes, beak, and innards with a small knife, being careful not to pierce the body sac. Rinse thoroughly under running water, then tenderize it by beating it lightly on a work surface.
- 2 Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then lower the heat and cook the octopus for about 30 minutes with the lid on.
- 3 Once cooked, drain the octopus, let it cool slightly, then cut it into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- 4 Clean and chop the celery into small pieces, add it to the bowl, and season with chopped parsley, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- 5 Mix everything well and let your octopus salad rest in the refrigerator for a while before serving, so it can absorb all the flavors.
