ANIMAL WELFARE
We believe that true well-being lies in respect and harmony with the land and all the beings that inhabit it. That’s why we put the well-being of our animals first, dedicating care to them throughout their entire life cycle. Every day, we work to ensure they live a serene life through careful and frequent veterinary checks, meticulous hygiene and cleanliness of the barns, a high-quality balanced diet, comfortable and well-ventilated spaces, innovative milking and feeding systems, and 24/7 remote monitoring.
Among adult cows and calves, all free to move in large and peaceful spaces.

Our focus on sustainability starts from the origin of our raw materials: 100% Sardinian milk for nearly all our products, selected for its excellence. Depending on the quality characteristics of each farm, the milk is allocated for the production of fresh and UHT milk, cream, butter, and cheese.

A balanced and natural diet for dairy cows is essential to ensuring high-quality milk. This is why the animals are fed daily a single-meal ration consisting of corn and ryegrass silage, ryegrass and alfalfa hay, concentrates, and vitamin and mineral supplements. Produced daily, these rations are designed to cover the animal’s nutritional needs and thus ensure consistently high-quality milk, regardless of the production season.

Latte Arborea ensures animal welfare by adopting rigorous standards and certifications. The farms adhere to the official Mipaaf assessment tool, accessible through Classyfarm, an integrated system for risk-based farm categorization. The facilities are designed to offer comfortable environments, with ample exercise areas, adequate ventilation, and clean bedding. Furthermore, periodic inspections by veterinarians and independent certification bodies ensure compliance with regulations and the continuous improvement of farming conditions.
