For the cookies
- 00 Flour 330 g
- Sugar 133 g
- Arborea butter 200 g
- Egg yolks 3
- Lemon 0.3
- Myrtle liqueur 20 ml
- Baking powder 2 g
For the icing
- Icing sugar q.b.
Instructions
- 1 Prepare a shortcrust pastry flavored with myrtle liqueur. In a bowl, combine the flour, butter, and baking powder, and begin mixing quickly. When the butter has blended with the flour and starts to crumble, add the sugar, continuing to mix. Finally, add the beaten egg yolks with the lemon juice and the myrtle liqueur, mixing until a compact dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- 2 After resting, roll out the dough on a work surface to about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thickness and cut into your preferred cookie shapes.
- 3 Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them well apart. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 10 minutes. Once baked, let them cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
